Abstract

This research was conducted in Makassar, South Sulawesi. Focus study
is Fajar dayly Newspaper. This research aims to describe the role of
mass media especially Fajar Newspaper in socializing multiculturalism
idea. This research use qualitative method where data was collected by
using interview and article searching, and then analyzed by critical
discourse analysis (CDA).
This research indicates that the role of mass media in socializing
multiculturalism issue is quite effective, even not yet maximal because
of still appearance deflect in accommodating stakeholder
