KERAWANAN SOSIAL DAN KERUKUNAN ANTAR UMAT BERAGAMA Kasus Bumi Tamalanrea Permai (BTP) Makassar

Penelitian yang bersifat kualitatif-deskriptif ini mengambil setting
lokasi pada pemukiman padatdi wilayah Timur Makassar yaitu perumahan
BTP (Bumi Tamalanrea Permai). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk
menggambarkan konflik yang terjadi di perumahan BTP, baik dari segi
penyebabnya, peta sebarannya hingga penyelesaian masalahnya.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa konflik kekerasan bernuansa
agama di Perumnas BTP, terjadi sebagai akibat ketimpangan dalam
hubungan-hubungan antar manusia yang berbeda etnis, yaitu etnis Bugis
dengan etnis Toraja. Ketimpangan itu sendiri terjadi karena perbedaan
nilai budaya (different value), karena ketidaksepahaman ("incompatible
objective) dan karena faktor lain termasuk faktorperbedaan agama yang
menyebabkan terganggunya daya dukung sosial.
