POTRET KERUKUNAN UMAT BERAGAMA DI KABUPATEN MAMASA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dan mendeskripsikan kerukunan antar umat beragama yang
dalam konteks riset ini meng-cover umat Islam, Kristen, Katolik, dan Hindu di Kabupaten Mamasa,
Sulawesi Barat. Metode penelitian kuantitatif diterapkan dalam mengukur respon masyarakat terkait
kerukunan antar umat beragama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan respon masyarakat yang cenderung
sangat positif dengan indeks yang berada pada kategori sangat tinggi yakni 3,27. Namun, ditemukan fakta
lain yang terungkap melalui instrumen wawancara dan kuosioner bahwa sebagian di antara masyarakat
memiliki pandangan cenderung negatif terkait dengan penyebaran agama terhadap penganut agama
berbeda sehingga perlu mendapat perhatian serius dari semua pihak utamanya tokoh agama agar tidak
menimbulkan riak-riak yang berpotensi memicu konflik identitas antar penganut agama di masa yang
akan datang.
